The Rector, on her own behalf and on behalf of the entire Sapienza academic community, expresses her deepest condolences on the passing of Professor Teodoro Valente, former Vice Rector of Sapienza and current President of the Italian Space Agency. A distinguished academic, researcher and public servant, Professor Valente devoted his career to research, higher education and the service of the country, bringing expertise, vision and a strong sense of responsibility to the many positions he held. "At this time of profound sorrow," said Rector Antonella Polimeni, "I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy to Professor Valente's family, his loved ones, our colleagues at Sapienza, the entire community of the Italian Space Agency, and all those who shared with him his academic, scientific and institutional journey.
