Grants for curricular internship programmes
Students who undertook a curricular internship programmes lasting at least 3 months, even if not consecutive, in 2024 or 2025 (not funded by the host organisation or any other body) were awarded a grant of €400.00 gross, as approved by the Board of Governors on December 16, 2025.
The allocation order and the list of recipients are available on Sapienza’s ‘Amministrazione Trasparente’ portal. Click on the website (in Italian)
To receive the grant, you must ensure that your place of residence and bank details (IBAN) – held in the recipient’s name or jointly in their name – are correctly entered on your personal Infostud page.
The first payments will be made to those who have entered or updated their details by June 30, 2026. If the above details are not provided, the grant cannot be paid out.

1. I received a letter stating that I am eligible for a grant for a curricular internship. Is it genuine?
Yes, it is absolutely genuine!
2. How can I check?
You can go to Sapienza’s ‘Amministrazione Trasparente’ (in Italian), and follow the path ⇒ Sovvenzioni, contributi, sussidi, vantaggi economici ⇒ Atti di concessione.
You will find the decision containing the list of recipients.
3. Do I need to do anything?
You do not need to fill in any paper forms or submit separate applications; you simply need to ensure that your personal and bank details are up to date on INFOSTUD.
- Residence Verification: log in to the Infostud members’ area, go to the ‘Contact Details’ section and ensure that the address entered is up to date and correct.
- Bank Details (IBAN): go to the ‘Account’ section and enter your IBAN. The current account or associated advanced card must be held solely or jointly in your name.
- First deadline: the update must be completed by June 30, 2026. If the details are incorrect, missing or held in a third party’s name, the payment mandate cannot be processed.
4. When will the allowance be paid?
If your details are correct as at June 30, 2026 , the payment is expected to be credited to your bank account by the end of August 2026.
5. How is this internship allowance treated for tax purposes?
The internship grant is treated for tax purposes as income equivalent to that of an employee, pursuant to Article 50, paragraph 1, letter c) of the TUIR (Testo Unico delle Imposte sui Redditi). Sapienza will issue the necessary tax certificate (CUD)
6. I would like to opt out of the grant. What should I do?
You must complete and sign the Modello di rinuncia, which is available in the ‘Downloads’ section.

7. Is it possible to use a Postepay card for the payment?
Yes, you can get your payment onto a Postepay card, provided it is a Postepay Evolution card (or any version with an IBAN) and that it is held in your name or jointly in your name.
